Upon hearing of Howard Brown Health Center's recent financial troubles, some of Chicago's top LGBT comedians are coming together to trade laughs for dollars for the local health center. We're pleased to announce the a very special edition of the queerest showcase of improv and comedy at Chicago's premiere improv theatre iO. Ladies and Gentlemen and Lady-Gentlemen, it's: Qweirdo!

Qweirdo is a showcase of Chicago's top gay comedians and improvisers coming together on November 23rd to make you laugh in the way that only your gay best friend can. With a wide variety of queer stand-up, sketch, music and improv its a veritable tour de fruit!

The agency serves more than 36,000 adults and youth each year with a diverse group of health and social services. Featuring:

"1, 2, 3 Fag!"
"1, 2, 3, Fag!" features Seth Dodson, John Hartman and Kellen Alexander, three of Chicago's boldest and brightest improvisers performing in their own unique form. Time Out Chicago's Jason Heidemann describes it as, "... a fast-paced, frenetic four-scene framework (hence the name), they switch characters unexpectedly, play multiple roles within a scene and build toward an unexpected finale."

Candy Lawrence (Stand-up)
Candy Lawrence? More like Comedy Lawrence. She began her career improvising at the IO Theater and the Playground Theatre, but that was "Judith Light years ago." She has also performed in the Chicago Sketchfest, NYC Sketchfest, and The Upright Citizens Brigade as one half of the comedy duo, $The Money Kids$. When she isn't collecting dreamcatchers, Candy can be seen performing stand-up at various alternative comedy venues including Chicago Underground Comedy among others. She would like to thank Melissa Ethridge for teaching her everything she knows about comedy

Rob Anderson (Sketch)
Rob Anderson is tall and handsome with big beautiful eyebrows. He grew up on the Jersey Shore before it was really cool (is it cool?). He is an artistic associate of GayCo, a repertory cast member of pH, and won the fifth season of the 8-week comedy competition 'Impress These Apes.' He is known around the Chicago as 'The Big Sexy.' Actually, no one calls him that. TYRA MAIL!

Homer and Marrs Like This (Music)
Mark Hanner and Homer Marrs met and fell in like on the gay chat site Bear411.com, about which they'll be singing a song at the Howard Brown benefit. They performed their first full-length revue, "Mark and Homer Like This," at the Annoyance Theatre in September and October and have since performed at Sidetrack's Laugh Track Thursdays and for GayCo Productions' "Big GayCo Halloween Show."

Tim Paul and Mike Kosinksi (Sketch)
Mike Kosinski & Tim Paul have sailed the seas from Hawaii to Malta performing sketch comedy and improvisation with The Second City theater. They have both recently resettled on the mainland where Mike is now performing with Second City's Nat'l Touring Company and Tim is an understudy for The Second City e.t.c.
