Prologue Theatre Co. presents the final production of its 2011 - 2012 Season, Take Her to See the Maco Lights, by Bekah Brunstetter and directed by Prologue Theatre Artistic Director Margo Gray. Take Her to See the Maco Lights runs tonight, May 10 – June 2 at Luna Central (formerly Live Bait Theater), 3914 N. Clark St. Opening night is Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m. Previews are tonight, May 10 and Friday, May 11 at 8:00 p.m. Performances are Thursdays – Saturdays at 8 p.m.

There will be a special League of Chicago Theater event for Take Her to See the Maco Lights Thursday, May 17. To begin the evening, guests will take a walking tour of a neighborhood cemetery led by paranormal researcher and historian Ursula Bielski, author of "Chicago Haunts" books series and owner of Chicago Hauntings Ghost Tours. The walking tour begins at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Registration begins at 6:45 p.m. at Luna Central, 3914 N. Clark St., tickets are $22 and available at www.prologuetheatreco.org.
Brunstetter's Take Her to See the Maco Lights, follows a pair of young lovers along a dark railroad track where the past and the future converge. Drawing from folk history, pop culture and America's checkered past, the production weaves a ghostly love story with characters who are on a crash course to a certain stretch of overgrown railroad tracks in North Carolina.
Collaboraction and LiveWire have previously produced Brunstetter's work in Chicago. She is a two-time winner of the Samuel French Short Play Festival and a two-time winner of the New York Innovative Theater Award for Best New Play. She has been a member of the Primary Stages Writer's Group and an alumni of the Women Project Writer's Lab, the Ars Nova Play Group, and the Playwright's realm. Take Her to See the Maco Lights was developed during her time as a fellow of the prestigious Lark Play Development Center in New York.

Prologue was incorporated in Chicago in 2008. Their first season explored the influences of the 1920s on the modern world, and included the Chicago premiere of Sex by Mae West and the world premiere of The Cat's Meow: A Vaudeville. 2010 -2011 took the company through the late 19th and early 20th century as they explored the world of the visual arts through the eyes of women in the plays Tatjana in Colorby Julia Jordan, Dream of a Common Languageby Heather McDonald and Ribbon Around a Bomb by Jess Gyori-Eisenberg.
