WeFest is Pride Arts Center's' semi-annual celebration of Chicago's queer female, non-binary, and trans+ artists. WeFest celebrates the diversity of the talents and experiences of artists who are often under-represented within the LGBT community. The eighth installment of this ever-evolving festival (formerly known as LezFest and SheFest), this summer's WeFest will be hosted by Chicago's "Peace and Love Poet" Niki Gee, and will feature spoken word poetry, music, movement, clowning, and a fire act.
The performance will be: June 13 at 7:30pm at the Pride Arts Center's Broadway Theatre, located at 4139 N. Broadway Ave., Chicago.
Performers will include Niki Gee, Tamale Sepp, Mack Dihle, Meesha Love, "Goddess Warrior" Dianna Tyler, Lyla Whedbee, Terri Lynne Hudson, Nadya Naumaan, Larry Trice, and Lucas Garcia.
