Featuring the music first popularized in DreamWorks animated movie favorite, Shrek the Musical, tells the tale of a "once upon a time and far, far away" sort of land and the hulking green ogre Shrek, who lives in an ugly green swamp in happy isolation. That is until a gang of homeless fairy-tale characters, led by the likes of Pinocchio, Cinderella, and the Three Pigs, raid his sanctuary after being evicted from their own homes by the vertically challenged Lord Farquaad. Shrek agrees to help the fairy-tale creatures get their home back, but when Shrek and Farquaad meet, the Lord strikes a deal of his own: He'll give the fairy-tale characters their homes back if Shrek rescues Princess Fiona from the Dragon's Tower. Shrek obliges, yet finds something appealing-something strange and different about this pretty princess. He likes her. He likes her a lot, but why does she always run off when the sun sets?
