NEW THIS YEAR:
10th Anniversary Kick-off Party and Sneak Peek Celebration
Friday, Sept. 12 • 6:30 - 10 p.m.
To kick off the weekend, the festival begins the festivities a day early on Friday night with a special evening anniversary party. The event, open to the public, will feature DCBolt Productions, presenting a 3D mapping building projection of the Festival''s 10 year history along with exclusive DCBolt created imagery upon the Lakeview Athletic Club. In addition to the Friday night projection display, this will also be projected Saturday night of the Festival from 8- 10 p.m.
DCBolt Productions was founded in 2012 by Devin Wambolt, a seasoned AV veteran and projection mapping expert, and Caitlin Magidson, a 3D motion graphics artist, Wambolt, the meticulous technical generalist, earned his chops in the AV world managing large-scale installations at Harvard, MIT, Yale and Boston Convention Center. His strong attention to detail and wide range of expertise has always made him the ideal leader for any AV project, massive or minute. Magidson, a Chicagoan and creative visionary with an entrepreneurial spirit, met Wambolt while both were studying 3D Animation & VFX at Tribeca Flashpoint in Chicago. After collaborating on a few larger projection mapping projects, they discovered that their work styles and skill sets complemented one another.
