Accompanied by recommendations from the Chicago Reader, Eclectic Full Contact Theatre's interactive world premiere, PALACE OF THE OCCULT, opened November 20 and runs through December 20, 2015 at Prop Thtr, 2502 N. Elston Avenue in Chicago. Check out photos from the show below!
Based on actual events, PALACE OF THE OCCULT transports audiences to the historic Berlin 1933 grand opening of the titular establishment, presided over by the most popular psychic of the day, Erik Jan Hanussen. Guests are charmed by his stories and involved in his astonishing feats. But they must ultimately decide for themselves who he really is: seer or charlatan? Nazi or Jew? Traitor or Martyr?
PALACE OF THE OCCULT is directed by Eclectic Full Contact Theatre's artistic director, David Belew, and features the work of writer and performer Neil Tobin, an award-winning member of the Psychic Entertainers Association of Society of American Magicians. A portion of the show's proceeds benefits the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center.
Guests are limited to 75 per seating for this exclusive engagement, so theatre goers are requested to purchase tickets without delay at
