Shattered Globe Theatre concludes its 22nd season with Sally Nemeth's searing drama MILL FIRE, directed by Producing Artistic Director Sandy Shinner, playing through June 7, 2014 at its new artistic home Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Tickets for MILL FIRE are available at www.theaterwit.org, in person at the Theater Wit Box Office or by calling (773) 975-8150.

MILL FIRE will feature Shattered Globe Ensemble Members Rebecca Jordan (returning to Chicago after ten years), Kate LoConti, Drew Schad, Angie Shriner and Kevin Viol with Ken Bradley, Daria Harper, Darren Jones and Deanna Reed-Foster.

Sally Nemeth''s MILL FIRE takes audiences to Birmingham, Alabama, circa 1978. As the town struggles to mourn the loss of several factory workers in a mysterious accident, widow Marlene refuses both the pressure to grieve as convention dictates and the blood money offered by the mill''s owners. With an ever-shifting temporal landscape that shapes the story through flashback and memory, a Greek chorus of fellow widows, and emotionally charged familial subplots, MILL FIRE examines the many definitions of sorrow and the complexities of moving on.

"The characters of Mill Fire are classic Shattered Globe roles. They're passionate and complex people wrestling with ethical issues while their backs are up against the wall," comments director Sandy Shinner. "Mill Fire explores a community who fears their livelihood is about to slip away. Initially divided by blame and grief, they eventually summon the strength to come to a place of understanding, love and, finally, forgiveness."

The production team for MILL FIRE includes: Jeff Bauer (scenic design), Sarah Jo White (costume design), Charlie Cooper (lighting design), Christopher Kriz (sound design), Vivian Knouse (props design), Susan Gosdick (dialect coach), Kat Warner (production manager), Amanda Rozmiarek (technical director), Jeffrey Clark Stokes (stage manager) and Rosie Chevalier (producer).
