Hardy appears with the permission of Actors' Equity Association, which the Goodman gratefully acknowledges for its assistance with this production. Support of new work development is provided by Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust.

The Native American concept of the "red road"-considered to be both life's right path, and conversely, a path of conflict and turbulence-runs through Brett C. Leonard's The Long Red Road, a provocative new play about how one person's anguish can tear a family apart. Sam (Tom Hardy: Bronson, RocknRolla, upcoming Mad Max 4 - Fury Road) attempts to exorcise his past and drink away his demons on a South Dakota Indian reservation. When his older brother Bob (Chris McGarry: National Tour of Doubt, Salome on Broadway with Al Pacino) appears at his doorstep, Sam must face the devastating, life-altering effects his role in a tragic accident has had on his loved ones-Annie (Chicagoan Greta Honold: The Wild Duck), Sandra (Katy Sullivan: a former Goodman intern) and 13-year-old Tasha (Chicagoan Fiona Robert: High School Musical 2). The Long Red Road contains adult subject matter. For mature audiences only.
