Jedlicka Performing Arts Center has launched its 2013-14 Season with Tennessee Williams' classic drama A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, directed by Christopher Pazdernik, playing now through September 28, 2013 at the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center, 3801 S. Set in New Orleans during the restless years after World War II, Tennessee Williams' classic drama A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE follows Blanche DuBois, a fragile and neurotic woman desperately searching for a place in the world to call her own. When Blanche arrives unannounced at the doorstep of her sister Stella and short-fused brother-in-law Stanley, the visit triggers an unexpected and explosive series of events over the course of the hot and steamy summer. The play earnEd Williams the 1948 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
