Strawdog Theatre Company presents the third production in its 2015-2016 Hugen Hall season, Elizabeth Lovelady's world premiere adaptation of Rudolph Maté's film D.O.A., running now through April 5, directed by Elizabeth Lovelady at Hugen Hall in Strawdog Theatre Company, 3829 N. Frank Bigelow (Mickey O'Sullivan) walks into a police station to report a murder: his own. He only has a few hours to hunt for his own killers and untangle the web of lies that has brought him here. Based on the 1950 Rudolph Maté film of the same name that is considered a classic of the film noir genre.
The cast also includes Wm. Bullion, Scott Cupper, Carol Ludwick, Joe Mack, Sean McGill, Mallory Nees, Kelsey Shipley and Megan Skord. The production team includes Strawdog Company members Mike Mroch, scenic designer; John Kelly, light designer; Heath Hays, sound designer; with guest artists Raquel Adorno, costume designer; Liam Fitzgerald, production manager; Jamie Karas, properties designer; R&D Choreography, violence directors and Becca Levy, stage manager.
The performance schedule is Saturdays at 4 p.m., Sundays at 12 p.m., and Monday and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Preview tickets are $10; single tickets are $15 and are currently on sale.
