American Theater Company continues its 2013-2014 Season with the Chicago Premiere of Sons of the Prophet, written by Stephen Karam, and directed by Artistic Director PJ Paparelli. Eastern Pennsylvania. Today. Two brothers attempt to keep their Lebanese-American family together after suffering an unusual number of personal losses. From the author of Speech & Debate and the co-author of columbinus comes this hysterically funny and deeply moving tale of life, love, and loss in working-class America. Winner of the 2012 Drama Critics Circle, Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel Awards for Best Play and a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
The cast of Sons of the Prophet includes Tyler Ravelson (Joseph), Natalie West (Gloria), Will Zahrn (Bill), Greg Matthew Anderson (Timothy), Marilynn Bogetich (Mrs. McAndrews), Michael Weingand (Charles) and Carin Silkitis (Dr. Manor).
The creative team includes William Boles (set design), Jesse Klug (lighting design), Rick Sims (sound) and Dominique Rhea Glaros (costume design) and Liz Tanner (properties). Katrina Herrmann is Stage Manager.
