Our first show of the year, Noises Off, is hailed as one of the funniest farces ever written, will perform at the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall at North Central College, 31 S. Check out photos from the show below!

Noises Off features Julie Bayer (Batavia), Ryan Bennett (Morris), Ryan Breig (Bolingbrook), Ellen Cribbs (Chicago), Ken Kaden (Naperville),Nancy Kolton (Batavia), Julie Ann Kornak (Naperville), Tin Penavic (Downers Grove), and Dennis Schnell (Wood Dale).

Noises Off by Michael Frayn is the hilarious romp of a comedy within a comedy. This farce hurtles along at breakneck speed following the backstage antics of a touring theatre company presenting "Nothing's On" as they stumble their way through rehearsals, to a shambolic opening night leading up their disastrous final performance. Slamming doors, love triangles onstage and off, falling trousers, flubbed lines, forgotten props, missed entrances, a whiskey loving actor and flying sardines all wickedly figure into this outrageous story of a larger drama happening on the other side of the curtain. The resulting chaos will have you helpless with laughter.

"We are thrilled to bring Noises Off to our audiences." Julie Kornak, Executive Director said, "This show is a bucket list show for many performers and a classic farce that gives a hilarious take into the backstage drama of theatre."

"We have a really excellent cast and the energy of this piece is sure to have audiences laughing until their sides hurt." Director David Belew said.

"This is one of the most elaborate set pieces BrightSide has produced to date," Artistic Director Jeffery Cass said, "It is almost a character itself and it will be fun to create for audiences."
