The deeply moving, enchanting new Broadway musical for all ages BIG FISH continues Theatre at the Center's exceptional 25th anniversary 2015 season. With a book by John August and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, BIG FISH is based on the Columbia Pictures film screenplay of the same name by John August and Daniel Wallace's 1998 novel, Big Fish: A Novel of Mythical Proportions. Artistic Director and multiple Jeff Award-winner William Pullinsi lends his expertise in the first professional locally-produced staging of the beloved musical running now through June 7th at 1040 Ridge Road in Munster. The show opened yesterday, May 10, and BroadwayWorld has photos from the festivities below!

The production's spectacular stagecraft and magical fantasy numbers will be brought to life by Jeff Award-winning choreographer Linda Fortunato, highlighted by the original Broadway costumes designed by Tony Award-winner William Ivey Long.

Shifting between two timelines, BIG FISH tells the story of traveling salesman Edward Bloom (Jeff Award-winnerStef Tovar) and his relationship with his adult son Will (Jeff Award-nominee Nathan Gardner). In the present-day world, sixty-year-old Edward faces his final chapter while Will gets ready to face fatherhood himself. Returning to the fairy-tale past, Edward tells his larger-than-life anecdotes of teenage encounters with a Witch, a Giant, a Mermaid, and the love of his life, Sandra (Jeff Award-winner Colette Todd). Determined to find the truth behind Edward's epic adventures, Will embarks on a journey of his own. The stories meet as Will discovers a secret his father's stories never exposed.
