Today, the Paramount announced to its nearly 13,000 inaugural subscribers the four exciting musicals on tap for the theater's second spectacular Broadway Season: Grease (Sept. 12-30, 2012), Annie (Nov. 21-Dec. 30, 2012), The Music Man (Jan. 16-Feb. 3, 2013) and Fiddler on the Roof (Mar. 6-24, 2013).

"We have three simple goals at the Paramount: Produce awe-inspiring Broadway productions with our own unique take. Provide unmatched personal service to our subscribers. And, offer it all at the most affordable rate of any theater in Chicagoland," said Paramount Executive Director Tim Rater. "While we will continue to challenge ourselves to raise the bar artistically in season two, we are committed to offering subscribers the same deal at the same price as our introductory offer in season one. That's buy two tickets to two huge, full-blown shows and get two tickets to two more, full-blown shows free.  Shop around. You'll see our most expensive package is still less than the least expensive package of any other major theater in the state."

With Paramount's four-play Broadway packages starting as low as $69.80, musical theater fans can enjoy four musicals for the price of just one show downtown. While prices will be low, production values at the Paramount will be high. According to Paramount Artistic Director Jim Corti, "I'll add just one more goal. Give our audience an unforgettable theater experience. We accomplished that in our inaugural Broadway season. We've begun to find our own unique approach to these great musical classics and rediscovering them with our audience. Theatre is a communal experience at its very heart. The audience gives as much to the theater as the theater gives to the audience. It's exciting that we can take this new creative journey together. "

Just as he did in his first season at the artistic helm, Corti is already attracting a who's who of leading musical theater visionaries from Chicago and around the U.S. to craft new musicals at the Paramount. Up first is nationally acclaimed New York-based theater and opera director Michael Unger for the season opener Grease. Next, Rachel Rockwell (named Best Director in 2011 by Chicago Magazine) will direct two consecutive Paramount musicals, Annie and The Music Man. For the season finale, artistic director Jim Corti will take the directorial reins for Fiddler on the Roof.

New subscriptions go on sale April 30 and single tickets go on sale to the general public on June 1 at 10 a.m. Purchase online at ParamountAurora.com, call 630.896.6666 or stop by the Paramount box office, 23 E. Galena Boulevard in downtown Aurora, to subscribe to the Broadway Series.
