Oracle B*Sides presents 2 plays by Rory Jobst
On June 5, 2012, Hawkeye Plainview Productions (in association with Oracle) opens a B*Sides run of THE RORSKY PLAYS, an evening of two one-act plays by Chicago theatre artist (and Oracle company member) Rory Jobst. Hawkeye Plainview explores the personas of pre-existing characters, celebrities, and archetypes, and puts them in social situations that reveal something new and different. THE RORSKY PLAYS open June 5, 2012, and runs through July 1. More details below.

Samuel Beckett, ANDRE THE GIANT, AND The Crickets
By Rory Jobst
Directed by Joshua Ellison
While living in rural France, Irish Nobel-winning playwright Samuel Beckett drove his friend's son, Andre Rousimoff, to school, because the 12-year-old boy was too big to fit in the local school bus. This boy would grow up to become the iconic professional wrestler, Andre the Giant. Inspired by a true story, this one-act imagines one particular drive to school, chock full of Beckett's existential absurdities and Andre's zest for life. This is a remount of a successful production from 2012's Rhinoceros Theatre Festival.

The Cast Includes:
BF Helman plays Samuel Beckett
Christopher Marcum plays Andre Rousimoff (Andre the Giant)

Daniel Day-Lewis AND THE BIG POTATAS
by Rory Jobst
Directed by Stephen F. Murray
Masha, a cute female film geek, runs into famed method-actor Daniel Day-Lewis in a pet cemetery while he is deep in character, preparing for a role in a horror creature feature. She then uncovers many intimate details about the project he is preparing for, and involves herself in the creative process.

The Cast Includes:
Brian Hurst plays Dash Dieu-Hickey (Daniel Day-Lewis)
Sara Greenfield plays Masha Shamrayev
