Oprah Grooves to the 60's With Help From AMC's Mad Men 9/21

The stage at Harpo Studios in Chicago will undergo a radical transformation as it travels back for a ‘60's themed episode, featuring appearances by cast members of 'Mad Men', and a special performance by the Chicago cast of JERSEY BOYS.

Entertainment Tonight reports that the audience will also be decked out in retro gear, and that Oprah herself will be wearing a 60's inspired creation by Emmy winning costume designer Janie Bryant. To read the story click here.

'Mad Men' stars Jon Hamm and January Jones are scheduled to appear on the show.

'Mad Men' is an American television series created by Matthew Weiner. It is produced by Lionsgate Television and broadcast on AMC. It premiered in July 2007 to critical acclaim, in particular for its authenticiy in depicting life in the '60.

Set in New York City, 'Mad Men' is a slick period show focusing on the workings of the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency, weaving personal and professional lives of the agency's staff, in particular that of its creative director Don Draper (played by Hamm).

Prior to being cast as the dashing Don Draper, Jon Hamm appeared in many television shows, including roles in 'Providence', 'The Division', 'What About Brian', and 'Related'. In 2008, he received a Golden Globe Award in The category for Best Actor in a Drama Series. Hamm also keeps busy with roles on the big screen. In 2008, he starred in the science fiction remake 'The Day the Earth Stood Still', and will be seen in the thriller 'Stolen Lives' set for a release in 2009.

'Mad Men' has won multiple awards, including three Golden Globes, a BAFTA and six Emmys. It is the first basic cable series to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. The award-winning ensemble also includes Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, Christina Hendricks, and John Slattery

'Mad Men' began its third season on August 16, 2009. 'Oprah Goes Back in Time - The '60's, will air Monday, September 21.
