Starting with Stonewall and
Judy Garland, Young will match icons to significant moments in LGBT history..
Dolly Parton's Light of the Clear Blue Morning in 1977 aligns with Anita Bryant and the S.O.C.,
Bette Midler's Do You Wanna Dance aligns with a post-Stonewall New York ( 1971-73 ) of bath houses and discos. The creation of the Gay Pride flag 1979/80 and
Diana Ross' I'm Coming Out! Young's passion for the history and where the movement is today comes across with laughter, heart and great love.
Nick Sula is back with Young at the piano and Daryl Nitz, of Chicago's longest running cabaret show, The Nitz Howe Experience, serves as director.
Young has built up a legion of fans through her celebrated performances in Chicago at Davenports, Hydrate, Park West, 3160 and Drury Lane Water Tower, and at Saugatuck Douglas' Dunes Resort and New York's Don't Tell Mama's, The Duplex and where it all began, the historic Stonewall Inn.
So bring your Pride flags and come and see this exciting entertainer Melissa Young that New York's Cabaret Hotline says "is among the best." Visit MelissaYoung.com for further information.
