Recent transplant from Charlotte, NC, BareBones Theatre Group marks its
Chicago debut with "Orange Flower Water" on Saturday, May 11 at Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark Street. BareBones Theatre Group is presenting this as a co-production with Interrobang Theatre Project, and will merge together for the 2013-14 season. Founder and Artistic Director of BareBones Theatre Group and co-Artistic Director of Interrobang Theatre Project James Yost directs "Orange Flower Water" running Thursday through Saturdays and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3:30 p.m. until June 9. Tickets are $25 with student and senior discounts available. Tickets can be purchased at www.RavenTheatre.com or by calling the box office at 773-338-2177.

"It's an exciting time for BareBones," said Yost. "Moving to Chicago and then finding another company with a similar vision has been extraordinary. I admire and respect Jeffry (Stanton) and I'm looking forward to creating an exciting 2013 - 14 season. 'Orange Flower Water' is the perfect play for a BareBones/Interrobang collaboration, simple and intimate yet raw and intense."

Written by Craig Wright, "Orange Flower Water" describes the complicated circumstances of
two marriages on the verge of falling apart. Two sets of married couples, David and Cathy
Larson and Brad and Beth Youngquist, are friends and live with their children in a small town. David and Beth, after years of maintaining a platonic friendship, begin an adulterous affair with disastrous consequences. "Orange Flower Water " shows the painfully intense, real-time unraveling of both marriages and the forming of a new way of life for everyone involved.

The cast for "Orange Flower Water" is comprised of Joseph Wiens (Brad), Ina Strauss (Beth), Keith Neagle (David) and Cyd Blakewell (Cathy). Production crew includes Samantha Bailey (costumes), Claire Chrzan (lighting) and Yost (set design).

In addition to serving as the artistic director for BareBones, Yost is also the co-artistic director
for Interrobang Theatre Project. With 10 plus years of directing experience, Yost has staged
over 50 plays and has won several awards for his productions, as well as receiving THEATRE PERSON OF THE YEAR in 2001 in Charlotte, NC. Metrolina Theatre Association award winning plays include: "Mr.Marmalade", " Psycho Beach Party", and "Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical". Other credits include: "The Graduate", "The Play About the Baby", "A Midsummer Night's Dream, Drift", "Ugly Art", "bash; the latter-day plays", "Squirrels", "The Wizard of Oz", "Lend Me A Tenor", "True West", "The Pitchfork Disney" and "Noises Off". He has produced several new play festivals and was the co-producer of Charlotte's CIty Stage Summer Play Festival. Yost has also taught acting, directing, production design and film at the high school and collegiate level. He is published in "Teaching Theatre Journal", a publication of Dramatics Magazine. Yost relocated to Chicago in 2012.

BareBones Theatre Group will merge with Interrobang Theatre Project for the 2013-14
season and present jointly under Interrobang's name. BareBones Theatre creates an intimate
communion between playwright, actor and audience with thought-provoking, engaging
and challenging productions which focus on new ideas, provocative stories and riveting
performances. Interrobang Theatre Project produces visceral and timely plays that are not readily seen on other Chicago stages and reward theatergoers and artists by challenging them with questions, issues, and plays worth thinking deeply about.
