Relive some of the greatest moments in musical theater history through One Hand, One Heart: The Musicals of Leonard Bernstein, a cabaret revue performed at Davenport's Piano Bar & Cabaret, November 14 – 29, 2012. Reservations can be placed at www.davenportspianobar.com.

For a strictly limited run, One Hand, One Heart will feature some of musical theater's most well-known songs, alongside many seldom heard numbers, all composed by the legendary Leonard Bernstein. In addition to his hit trio of New York musicals – West Side Story, Wonderful Town & On the Town – the evening will also feature selections from Bernstein's cult-classic operetta Candide, his unique theater piece Mass, as well as the rare musicals 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and Peter Pan. The musical numbers will be complemented with behind-the-scenes anecdotes from host and director Christopher Pazdernik. One Hand, One Heart is a rare opportunity to experience the full scope of one the greatest American composers in history.

Featured performers include:

Christin Boulette returns to Davenport's after appearing in the smash hit 80's revue, I'll Stop the World and Belt with You. Previously, she has performed in Candide at the Goodman, Phantom at Theater at the Center and numerous productions with Theo Ubique Cabaret Theater, Light Opera Works, Chamber Opera Chicago and Porchlight Music Theater. This past summer, she appeared as Babette in Disney's Beauty and the Beast at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Adam Fane makes his debut at Davenport's in Un-Type Cast. Over the past year, he has been seen as in Theo Ubique's Jeff Award-winning production of The Light in the Piazza, Franz in the extended summer engagement of Rock of Ages with Broadway in Chicago, and Princeton in the Chicago Premiere of Avenue Q.

Sarah Hayes has worked with such varied companies as American Theater Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Light Opera Works, Bailiwick, Circle Theater, Strawdog and the Ravinia Festival. Most notably, she appeared as Emma Goldman in Porchlight's Jeff Award-winning production of Ragtime and was Jeff-nominated for her performance as Aldonza in Theo Ubique Cabaret Theater's Man of La Mancha.

One Hand, One Heart: The Musicals of Leonard Bernstein is hosted & directed by Christopher Pazdernik, his fifth in a continuing series of musical theater themed evenings. Previous revues conceived by Pazdernik include: UnType Cast, It's an Art: The Songs of Stephen Schwartz, Nobody's Side: Broadway's Cult Classics, and The Distance You Have Come: The Songs of Scott Alan. Musical direction is by James Morehead, who received his MM in Piano Performance and Music Theory from Roosevelt University and has worked as a music director across the city, including the current production of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson with Bailiwick Chicago and Jeff Award-nominations for his work on bare and Passing Strange.

One Hand, One Heart: The Musicals of Leonard Bernstein runs November 14, 15, 28 & 29, 2012 at Davenport's Piano Bar & Cabaret, 1383 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago. Showtimes are at 8 PM.
