Chicago area and North Shore audiences -- for the third consecutive year -- will have the opportunity to experience the best of British theatre in December, when the Theatre and Interpretation Center (TIC) at Northwestern University presents the National Theatre Live (NT Live) broadcast series.

The broadcasts include a Dec. 10 reprise of Alan Bennett's "The Habit of Art," directed by Nicholas Hytner.

On Dec. 11, "National Theatre: 50 Years On Stage," is a Chicago area premiere and Northwestern University exclusive. It features many of the most renowned actors who have performed on National Theatre's London stage and excepts of the productions they appeared in.

Both broadcasts will take place on the University's Evanston campus at the Josephine Louis Theater, 20 Arts Circle Drive, as noted.

Single tickets to NT Live broadcasts are on sale now through the TIC Box Office at (847) 491-7282 or online at www.tic.northwestern.edu/ntlive. Single-ticket prices are listed below. Where applicable, ticket discounts are available for groups of eight or more.

TIC's first winter 2014 Mainstage production, Jan. 31 to Feb. 9, is Lillian Groag's "Aimee and Jaguar," a stage adaptation of Erica Fisher's non-fiction book "Aimee and Jaguar." Joseph Hanreddy, the former artistic director of the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, will direct.
