"ready ready go," a concert that celebrates the completion of the Class of 2010's dance studies, will be presented by undergraduate students of the Northwestern University School of Communication's Dance Program.

This year's annual spring concert will feature a new work by guest choreographer and Northwestern alumna Julia Rhoads, director of Lucky Plush Productions, a Chicago contemporary dance theater. The piece will be performed by all 11 graduating dance majors. Rhoads was named one of the "25 To Watch" by Dance Magazine in 2010.

Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 26; 8 p.m. Thursday, May 27; and 8 p.m. Friday, May 28, in the Ballroom Theater of the Marjorie Ward Marshall Dance Center, 10 Arts Circle Drive, on the University's Evanston campus.

The performances and a May 28 reception following the 8 p.m. Friday concert, are open to the public.

The final project of Northwestern University senior dance majors and minors, "ready ready go" is choreographed, produced and performed by students under the guidance of dance faculty advisors Susan A. Lee and Jeff Hancock. The concert concludes the seniors' undergraduate studies and serves as an introduction of their work to the professional dance community.

This year's senior choreographers are Laura Cohen, Michaela Federspiel, Calyn Guberman, Katerina Herder, Katherine Hill, Anna Kahane, Keith Miller, Pallavi Sriram, Michala Stock, Abigail Suskin and Monica Thomas.

General admission is $10 for the general public; and $2 advance purchase at the TIC Box Office or $5 at the door for students. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-seated basis. Tickets can be purchased at the TIC Box Office at (847) 491-7282, online at www.tic.northwestern.edu or at the door prior to each performance.
