Northlight Theatre announces its partnership with TodayTix-the free mobile app that provides on-demand access to last-minute theatre tickets-and the ridesharing company Lyft with its new Rush&Ride program for discounted tickets and free rides to and from the theatre. Rush&Ride offers a limited number of $20 tickets for the Chicago premiere of the hit off-Broadway play The City of Conversation, available exclusively on the TodayTix app, and includes free rides, courtesy of Lyft.

"This is an amazing deal - with $20 tickets and up to $40 in free Lyft rides, there's nothing like it in the Chicago area," saidMara Mihlfried, Northlight's Director of Marketing & Communications. "With the help of TodayTix and Lyft, we're making it possible for anyone to get to Northlight, regardless of your location or access to transportation. We're very excited about this partnership, and even more excited for the new audiences that will now be able to reach Northlight."

Rush ticketing traditionally requires customers to arrive in-person at the box office the morning of a show to purchase same-day discounted tickets. By using TodayTix's new mobile Rush ticketing technology, theater patrons can now purchase rush tickets directly from their mobile devices via the TodayTix app on a first-come, first-serve basis and pick up their tickets at the box office right before a show.

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to work with innovative partners like Northlight and Lyft to pioneer Rush & Ride," saidBrian Fenty, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board at TodayTix. "We are proud to collaborate with our partners to help make the theatergoing experience seamless, affordable, and more accessible than ever."

In order to gain access to the $20 Rush&Ride tickets for The City of Conversation, ticket buyers must download the TodayTix app and unlock the functionality by sharing on their Facebook or Twitter pages. Once unlocked, a theatergoer has access to Rush&Ride pricing daily. Beginning at 9am on the day of performance, Rush&Ride tickets can be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis until that day's Rush&Ride inventory is sold out. Customers can claim their free rides (up to $20 to and $20 from the theatre) via their TodayTix confirmation and pick up their tickets at the Northlight Theatre box office beginning one hour prior to curtain.
