When Youth Outlook announced that their next fundraising event would be spent with the quirkiest and nerdiest spelling titans in Putnam County, the response among their youth was incredible! The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, produced by Noble Fool Theatricals at Pheasant Run Resort, welcomes the local organization on May 7, 2010 at 8pm for their "Night at the Theatre" fundraiser.

Youth Outlook is the only agency in the DuPage, Kane, and DeKalb counties of Illinois dedicated solely to serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning youth (LGBTQ). They provide wellness education on a variety of topics, leadership development, and social space. They also conduct community education programs in order to change the social atmosphere that imperils LGBTQ youth in the first place.

"We are a grass roots agency with big dreams," says Youth Outlook Fundraising Chair Michelle Dodd. "And being able to pay minimal cost for the theater tickets and then turn around and sell them as a fundraiser is huge for us. This event allows us to invite our youth, create an atmosphere where they can feel safe, bring a date or just feel accepted - and Noble Fool is helping us achieve that."

In this Tony Award-winning new musical comedy, six of Putnam County's quirkiest spellers want nothing more than to be the B-E-S-T. These loveable spellers, played by adults, fiercely battle it out for the title only to learn that winning isn't everything and losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. Either way you spell it, this comical competition comes alive with a cornucopia of spelling words, a plethora of sharp humor, and intelligent interaction from spellers in the audience.

"We're happy to offer this program to fellow non-profit organizations like Youth Outlook," says Noble Fool Artistic Director John Gawlik. "And while they enjoy a great night at Pheasant Run Resort, we enjoy the chance to perform in front of a full house of new patrons."

The Youth Outlook "Night at the Theatre" Benefit performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Pheasant Run Resort is Friday, May 7, 2010 at 8pm. Tickets and additional information can be found by visiting www.youth-outlook.org or by calling (815) 517-8031, with proceeds benefiting Youth Outlook.

The regular performances of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee run April 22 - June 13, 2010. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. The show is rated PG-13 due to mature situations and language.

Pheasant Run Resort is located at 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL. For regular tickets, call the Pheasant Run Box Office at 630-584-6342, or visit www.ticketmaster.com. Additional information on Noble Fool Theatricals may be obtained at www.noblefool.org.
