Next Theatre Company announces the Midwest premiere of The Great God Pan, April 3 - May 11, by Amy Herzog and directed by Next Artistic Associate Kimberly Senior, at Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes Street. Previews are Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 4 at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 5 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 6 at 2 p.m. Opening Night is Monday, April 7 at 7 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There are Saturday 4 p.m. performances April 19, 26, May 3 and May 10th. The Great God Pan reunites Amy Herzog, "one of the brightest theatrical lights of her generation." (The New York Times) and Director Kimberly Senior, "'Best Director' -Senior elicits bone-authentic performances." (Chicago Magazine) who previously collaborated for Next Theatre's After the Revolution and Northlight Theatre's 4,000 Miles. Herzog's new work The Great God Pan tells the story of Jamie (Brett Schneider), a guy who seems to have everything he could wish for: a beautiful girlfriend (Kristina Valada-Viars*), a budding journalism career and parents who live just far enough away. But when a possible childhood trauma comes to light, he begins to question not only his past but his seemingly positive present as well.
Additional cast includes: Matt Hawkins, Janette Kroll, Margaret Kusterman, James Leaming* and Jan Radcliff*.
The production team is made up of Courtney O'Neill (set design), Heather Gilbert (lighting design), Chris Kriz (sound design), Samantha Jones (costume design) and Eileen Rozycki (props design).
