Naperville's Summer Place Theatre is proud to present FOOTLOOSE! The Musical, based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford. FOOTLOOSE is the third of three shows taking place at Summer Place Theatre this season. The production features direction by Madison Smith, fresh choreography by Samantha Sieghart, music direction by Emma Gingold and is produced by Jeff Sand. Also featured is the works of Jensine Waller (Technical Director), Sabrina Zeidler (Scenic Designer), Jeff Sand (Sound Designer), Alaina Pizzoferrato (Lighting Designer), Mackenzie Grattan (Costume Designer), Danielle Goldberg (Stage Manager), and Meghan King (Assistant Stage Manager/ Props Master).

Leading the cast of teens eager to throw a school dance are Michael Metcalf as Ren McCormack and Hannah Yonan as Ariel Moore. They are joined by Matt Weaver as Willard, Shaheen Kapambwe as Rusty, Margaret Rogers as Wendy Jo, Abbie Friedenberg as Urleen, and James Bleecker, Jr. as Chuck Cranston. This production will feature Rick Love as Reverend Shaw Moore, Kelley Dale as Vi Moore, Martha Capo as Ethel McCormack, Steve Koek as Wes Warnicker, Lori Bush Shepard as LuLu Warnicker, Nickel Hays as Betty Blast and Keith Barrack as Cowboy Bob. Rounding out the ensemble is Sarah Morton, Lizzy Hughes, Emrose Seidenberg, Madysen Simanonis, Nickel Hays, Keith Barrack, Tina Boffa, Lauren Kessler, Maddie McDowell, Bryan Perez, Chris Knight, Sean Michael Williams, Jake Murphy, Andrew Popovich, and Krista Sherinian.

Teenaged Ren McCormack leaves his life in Chicago to settle in a rural town with his mom. But the new town has a strict ban on Ren's favorite pasttime: dancing. Ren struggles against the conservative attitude of Reverend Moore, whose distrust of rock music has stifled the ability of Ren's new classmates to express themselves. Aided by the reverend's daughter Ariel and Ren's new best friend Willard, Ren learns why the town doesn't dance, and how to start changing that. You'll hear some familiar tunes in this 80s rock musical, like "Let's Hear it for the Boy," "Holding Out for a Hero," "Almost Paradise," and, of course, "Footloose."

FOOTLOOSE performs July 27th, 2018 through August 5th, 2018 at Naperville Central High School, with shows on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 3:00pm. For tickets and more information, please visit www.summerplacetheatre.org
