MCL Chicago, the first theater in Chicago dedicated to innovative musical comedy, is proud to announce the premiere of its production ONE BRAIN MORE: A ZOMBIE LES MISICAL this fall. Set in the nottoodistant future of Chicago, the musical pays homage to the industry titan of "LES MISERABLES" while adding an undead flair.

The show features original music and book by local comedian and playwright Chris Gorton in collaboration with the MCL Chicago production team of Musical Director Stephanie McCullough and Director Michael Shepherd Jordan ("Yippee KiYay, Merry Christmas" and "Chicago Dreams" (formerly Oh What A Night).

"We cannot wait to showcase one of the many talented artists we collaborate with on a larger scale," said MCL Chicago Artistic Director Alex Garday. "This production has everything a Chicago audience wants in homegrown theater: original music, Chicago style comedy, and zombies."

It's the year 2023 and the zombie apocalypse has ravaged Chicago. A former lawyer, John Von Jovi, has been bitten and eaten several humans when he is saved by a sympathetic Priest from the evangelical zombie hunter Chesthair. Von Jovi then vows to redeem his life by adopting the daughter of a down on her luck prostitute amidst a human/zombie revolution.

'ONE BRAIN MORE' features choreography by Holly Gombita, Technical Direction by Zach Stinnett, and a cast including: Mark Rudy, Brandon C. Price, Ryan Cashman, Sarah Caitlin Davis, Sophia Shrand, Courtney Fontaine, Allison Taylor, Shanna Brown, Gary Fields, Kerri Morrison and Seth Origitano.

ONE BRAIN MORE: A ZOMBIE LES MISICAL will perform at MCL Chicago, 3110 N. Sheffield (near the Belmont Red/Brown/Purple Line stop). The run will play on Fridays, September 18 - October 30, 2015 at 8 p.m. with a special Halloween night performance Saturday, October 31 at 8 p.m. All shows are BYOB. Estimated running time is 105 minutes with a 10 minute intermission. Tickets for the production are $20. Student/Industry tickets are $15. Tickets are available via cash or credit at the door or online at MCLChicago.com.
