Steppenwolf ensemble member Molly Regan takes on one of life's most challenging-but-under-appreciated rites of passage: becoming the keeper of the keepsakes, repository of family memory, appraiser and disseminator of the valueless and the invaluable. And she sets about putting all in order with equal amounts wry humor and warm wisdom in this solo performance. It is a play about the delight in a journey of discoveries, but also the skeletons of murder and insanity in one family's closet. Personal and universal, it is a piece that embraces us, takes us on a unique adventure and then returns us to ourselves, the richer for the trip to Mankato, Minnesota with an accidental curator.
Molly Regan won a Joseph Jefferson award for Steppenwolf's Another Time. Regan has brought her smart instincts to such Steppenwolf productions as The Herd, Tribes, Good People, Aunt Dan & Lemon, The Three Sisters and Earthly Possessions. She's made frequent Off-Broadway and regional appearances, and spent nine seasons at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. In 2005 she turned her keen eye to directing the world premiere of Andrew Case's Pacific in the Steppenwolf Garage. Regan has also appeared as soprano soloist in symphony orchestra performances of Handel's Messiah and the Fauré Requiem.
