Light Opera Works presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC with 30-piece orchestra, August 15 through 30, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical about two couples from different worlds on a Pacific Island during World War II includes the classic songs "Some Enchanted Evening," "Younger Than Springtime" and "There is Nothin' Like a Dame."

SOUTH PACIFIC is directed and choreographed by Light Opera Works artistic director Rudy Hogenmiller and conducted by music director Roger L. Bingaman.

The cast includes Larry Adams (Emile de Becque), Sarah Larson (Nellie Forbush), Yvonne Strumecki (Bloody Mary), Justin Adair (Lt. Joseph Cable) and Brian Zane (Luther Billis).

SOUTH PACIFIC is Light Opera Works' second production of 2015. The season will continue with the concert production HOLLYWOOD'S GREATEST SONG HITS (October 2-11) and GUYS AND DOLLS (December 26-January 3, 2016).

Discounted season ticket packages are still available.

Tickets for SOUTH PACIFIC begin at $34. Ages 21 and younger are half price. To order tickets, or for more information, call the Light Opera Works box office at (847) 920-5360 or order 24 hours a day online at www.LightOperaWorks.com.
