Artistic Director Bonnie Metzgar and Managing Director Rick Dildine are pleased to announce that Leslie Hall (of Leslie and the Lys) will host and perform at "The Homo Show," the second installment of About Face Theatre's Summer Camp 2009: A Summer Cabaret Series. The series is sponsored by Windy City Media Group, and "The Homo Show" is also sponsored by Think Pink Radio and Studio 110.
Curated by About Face Youth Theatre Director Paula Gilovich and Marketing Director Jane Beachy, "The Homo Show" brings together Chicago's most innovative and engaging performers for a variety show and dance party not to be missed. Self-titled "cewebrity" Leslie Hall (www.leslieandthelys.com) brings her sass and her songs to the Subterranean on Monday, July 27 as she hosts and headlines the show. Chicago DJ legends Reaganomix of local dance party Formerly Known As, and Stinky Pinky of Think Pink Radio cap off the evening by spinning dance tunes until close. More renowned local acts are soon to be announced.
Doors are at 7:30 pm and the show begins at 8:00 pm at the Subterranean (2011 North Avenue), and tickets are $15 in advance at aboutfacetheatre.com and $20 at the door. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly. Prior to curtain, some lucky audience members will have the chance to have photos taken with Leslie Hall and to meet the evening's performers.
