BROKEN NOSE THEATER is proud to announce the return of MY FIRST TIME - the Chicago and Off-Broadway late-night hit that tells real people's stories about their first sexual encounters - at the GREENHOUSE THEATER CENTER beginning July 11. Written by Ken Davenport and Real People Just Like You, and directed by Benjamin Brownson. MY FIRST TIME runs Friday nights at 11 p.m. Press Opening is Friday, July 18 at 11 p.m.

If you've done it, there's probably a story behind it. Whether it was love or lust, shy or sexy, awkward or awesome or somewhere in between, chances are you remember your first sexual experience. It's one of the few things almost every person on the planet has in common, yet we rarely talk about it. Until now. In MY FIRST TIME, four actors perform stories ranging from heartwarming to hysterical, every one of them true and written by real people just like you. Whatever your story, My First Time will have you laughing and reminiscing about your own first time...and thinking about your next one.

In 1998, the website www.myfirsttime.com was created to allow people to anonymously share their personal stories about their first times in their own words. The website became an instant phenomenon as more than 50,000 stories poured in from around the globe, ranging from silly, sweet, absurd, funny, heartbreaking, heterosexual, homosexual, shy, sexy and everything in between. These stories were brought to life in the Off-Broadway hit MY FIRST TIME in 2007, which ran for two and a half years, garnering media attention on CNN, FOX, MSNBC, THE TONIGHT SHOW, and spawning its own iPhone commercial. BROKEN NOSE THEATRE presented the Chicago premiere (and a subsequent remount) in 2012 to great success and critical acclaim.

"MY FIRST TIME was so much fun and such an audience favorite we've been talking about bringing it back for a while," says Artistic Director Benjamin Brownson. "When the Greenhouse expressed interest in partnering with us on a late-night show, it was the perfect opportunity to revisit what was, in effect, BROKEN NOSE's own first time. It's been a blast returning to these stories and exploring this near-universal human experience, building on the show's past success while also incorporating our added experience to make this version bigger and better than ever."

The audience is more than just a group of passive observers at MY FIRST TIME they also have the opportunity to tell their own story. Before each performance, audience members are encouraged to fill out a short survey with questions like "Are you a virgin? Where were you when you lost your virginity? If your first sexual partner were here right now, what would you say to him/her?" The answers are then collected and incorporated into the show, which ensures each night has different twists and turns and allows a more personal conversation about this still taboo subject.

MY FIRST TIME features Jovan King, Teresa Kuruvilla, Spenser Davis, and Elise Spoerlein and performs Friday nights at 11pm at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Avenue, July 11 - August 29. Tickets are $25 - on sale now at www.greenhousetheatre.org or over the phone at 773.404.7736. Student and group discounts are available.

BROKEN NOSE THEATRE strives to cultivate empathy and spark conversation by sharing universal stories filtered through a personal lens, engaging our community with new works and Chicago premieres that challenge the status quo and provide opportunities for a diverse array of artists.
