Three night return engagement and tenth anniversary of this hit show! After smash runs around the country of Melissa Young's infamous "Madonna show", she returns to where it all started, ten years ago at Davenports. Young is bringing this show, Lucky Star, out of retirement for Madonna's milestone Sixtieth birthday! Young performs the music of America's most original artist, Madonna. Over 20 of Madonna's songs, spanning her thirty five year career, get a musical makeover. Lucky Star is a tribute show that dares to ask such musical questions as: What if Madonna met Disney to revamp "Papa Don't Preach?" or if the next hit show on Broadway was "Material Girl: the musical"? Jazz, Country, Swing, and even Reggae all meet Madonna, America's most loved and hated pop icon. Nick Sula is back with Young this time around at the piano and Daryl Nitz, of Chicago's longest running cabaret show, The Nitz Howe Experience, directs. $18, 2 drink minimum. Reservations recommended. Young's been seen all around town at Davenports, Hydrate, the Park West, 3160 and Drury Lane Water Tower and out of town at The Dunes Resort, Don't Tell Mama in NYC, The Duplex NYC and The Stonewall Inn. $18 with a two drink minimum.
