"Loose Chicks" will be at Uncharted Books, 2630 N Milwaukee Ave, in July! Jillian Erickson, the original "Loose Chick" will be starring in and presenting an hour long performance based on her experiences through life. Guest Chicks Virginia Marie, Anne Patten, Lily Be, and Jen Bosworth will be featured this month. This juicy, gutsy, balsy, cutting edge look at life through the eyes of femme fatales will be presented at Uncharted Books, 2630 N. Milwaukee. The performance is Friday, July 12th at 7:15pm. There is a suggested donation.
Jillian Erickson is a performance artist, monologist, poet, writer, pain in the ass...She moved to Chicago to do exactly what she is doing and couldn't be giddier. She is the successful co-producer, co-director, and performer for the all female cabaret BEAST WOMEN 2013. Beast Women recently celebrated its 107th performance at The GreenHouse Theater in Chicago. She is also part of the film company, JAkT Films, and a series called "Myths" which is a combination of paint, sculpture, and spoken word.
Born and breed in the mid-west, Virginia Marie is out to transform consciousness at will. With a B.F.A in Musical Theater from UW-SP, and Pure Yoga Instructor Certification through Equinox Fitness Club, she founded Strange Root Productions. Her mission: to unveil truth through fearless authenticity. Having worked with fierce companies such as Beast Women Productions (all original work), Chicago Fusion Theatre Company (JB), and Teatro Luna (Lullaby, a reading), among others, Virginia Marie has made Chicago her home-base. Focused on artistic entertainment, Virginia Marie whole-heartedly looks forward to the future of Chicago Performing Arts. Namaste.
Anne Patten is a writer and lover of words. She loves to vacation in Iowa City taking workshops through the Iowa Writers Workshop. Her favorite workshop to date, titled Nonfiction on Difficulty, helped kick off her writings about having been married to and divorced from a man who is now a woman. Her stories explore the mired web of relationships, unexpected midlife dating, and sexuality. Anne recently completed a writing residency at the acclaimed Ragdale artists' retreat.

Jen Bosworth is a performer and non-fiction writer from Evanston. She is the writer and star of the critically acclaimed one-woman show, "Why Not Me." Bosworth is a mainstay of Chicago's exploding Live Literary community and can be seen all across Chicago reading her heartbreaking and hilarious non-fiction. Her onewoman show is currently on tour and will be making it's East Coast debut at prestigious New York International Fringe Festival this August.
