Raue Center For The Arts is excited to pay tribute to the King of Rock-n-Roll this summer! Take a musical journey through the life of Elvis Presley beginning with the young rock-a-billy years and ending in the spectacular white jumpsuit era of the 1970s with "Matt Lewis - Long Live The King" at 8 p.m. on August 25, 2018.
"There are Elvis tributes and then there are Elvis tributes. We searched and found one of the most entertaining Elvis tribute shows you will ever experience and we are bringing 'Long Live the King' to Raue Center's stage this summer," says Raue Center Board President, Tim Paul. "Experience Elvis like never before and join us for this spectacular show!"
Lewis began his career as an Elvis tribute artist at the age of 12 and was headlining around the globe with the world-famous "Legends in Concert" show by his 21st birthday. He has entertained audiences from Singapore, Germany, Australia, Poland, Canada, Japan, Monaco and China to almost every major city in the United States and has been headlining the longest-running tribute show in the world on the Las Vegas Strip since 2001.
Numerous publications have praised and spotlighted Lewis' talents, from a feature on the cover of Las Vegas' "What's On" to appearances on several pages of "Entertainment Weekly." Most recently, Lewis was named "The Best Elvis in Vegas" by "USA Today." His talents have also earned Lewis appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and a starring role in a major feature film titled "Tears of A King." Lewis will be backed by the Memphis Nights band in this top-notch production that will leave you smiling and singing through the aisles!
"I am very much looking forward to returning to Raue Center. Although I have been living in Las Vegas for the past 18 years, I am a Midwest boy at heart," says Lewis. "We are going to perform songs from every era of Elvis' career. Get ready! We are gonna shake it up!"
