Before forming the George Freeman & Mike Allemana Organ Quartet in 2013, the jazz standouts have each enjoyed their own illustrious careers in music. Elder brother to the late jazz legend, Von Freeman, George Freeman has a storied history of success as a jazz guitarist, having performed with names such as Charlie Parker, Lester Young, and Coleman Hawkins. Allemana was closely connected with Freeman before the Quartet was formed, having performed with Von Freeman in their famous Tuesday night show at New Apartment Lounge from 1997 to 2012. The Quartet released their most recent album, Live at the Green Mill, in August 2017, in celebration of George Freeman's 90th birthday.

Texas-born country star Lee Ann Womack has brought her music to the mainstream with a pop influence that set her apart and gained her wide critical acclaim. She has won several awards from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association, in addition to a Grammy Award. Womack has released nine albums over her career, with hits that secured spots on Country Music and Billboard Charts alike, including "I Hope You Dance." Womack's most recent album - The Lonely, The Lonesome, & The Gone, was released in October of 2017. She will be returning to City Winery on her "All the Trouble" Tour in 2018. Mexican-American singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo has explored an array of musical identities throughout his career, including punk and roots-rock, alt-country, hard rock, Tex-Mex, folk and string quartets. Escovedo began his trailblazing career with San Francisco's famed punk band The Nuns followed by stints with the Austin-based alt-country rockers, Rank & File and the True Believers. He continued with countless all-star collaborations and a series of beloved solo albums beginning with 1992's acclaimed Gravity. Escovedo has earned a surplus of distinctions including the Americana Music Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for Performing in 2006. His most recent album, Burn Something Beautiful, released in October 2016, is a celebration of the rock and roll life, a contemplation on mortality and the healing power of love.

Since she began her career in the '60s, Judy Collins has inspired audiences with sublime vocals, boldly vulnerable songwriting, personal life triumphs, and a firm commitment to social activism. Working for years to build up a discography of groundbreaking albums, Collins has gained notoriety in the folk genre, earning her wide acclaim and several awards. Her rendition of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" from her landmark 1967 album, Wildflowers, has been entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and she most recently received a Grammy nomination for Silver Skies Blue, her 2016 collaboration with writing partner, Ari Hest. Collins continues her work as a social activist, representing numerous organizations, including UNICEF and more.
Kindred the Family Soul

Aja Graydon and Fatin Dantzler of Kindred and the Family Soul were introduced in 1997 during a production camp hosted by hip-hop band The Roots, and after collaborating on several individual projects, were married by 1998. Kindred released their debut album, Surrender to Love, in 2013, with hit songs "Far Away" and "Stars" both earning a spot as top ten urban adult contemporary hits. The album received a Soul Train Award and a BET Award nomination. The band went on to produce four additional studio albums, including collaborations with stars such as John Legend and Snoop Dog. Kindred released their most recent album, Legacy of Love, in August 2016.

Singer-Songwriter Joshua Radin learned how to play guitar only two years before the release of his first album in 2006, We Were Here, followed by the feature of some of his first original compositions on the television show, Scrubs. Radin has produced six studio albums to date, earning him several hits on both US and International charts. His song, "I'd Rather Be With You" reached #11 on the UK Singles Chart and #2 on the US Top Digital Chart. Over the course of his career, Radin has shared stages with artists such as Sheryl Crow, Tori Amos, Imogen Heap, Maria Taylor, Gary Jules, Amber Rubarth, The Script and many more. A limited number of VIP Meet & Greet tickets will also be available for $60 each.
City Winery also announces Steve 'Stone' Huff opens for Miki Howard on Nov. 21 and Nicholas Barron opens for Joshua Davis on Nov. 22. All City Winery events are open to all ages and start at 8 p.m., unless noted.
