The Theatre School at DePaul University will present Lights Up! a fundraiser supporting student scholarships, on Monday, November 6th. The evening will include entertainment and exquisite fare at the artistic home of The Theatre School.

The event will begin with a 5:30 p.m. cocktail reception, followed by a program at 6:30 p.m., a strolling dinner party at 7:30 p.m., and a dessert reception at 8:30 p.m. Guests will learn about what happens both on and offstage and get a glimpse of the student experience with behind-the-scenes access.

Alumnus John C. Reilly is an honorary co-chair for Lights Up! and will appear at the event as a part of the program on the Fullerton Stage.

John C. Reilly is a comedic and dramatic actor born and raised on the south side of Chicago who is best known for his roles in the movies Chicago, We Need to Talk About Kevin, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers, Cyrus, and the voice of Disney's animated smash Wreck-It-Ralph. Recent films include Guardians of the Galaxy, The Lobster, Sing, and Kong: Skull Island.

All proceeds from Lights Up! support The Theatre School Scholarship Fund, which assists our diverse body of students as they pursue their training at one of the leading conservatories in the nation. The Theatre School relies on donors to provide 30 percent of the nearly $1.4 million dispensed through Theatre School merit scholarships each year. These funds help to ensure our talented students receive the resources and support they need to continue their training.

"We couldn't be more pleased to welcome guests inside The Theatre School to meet our students and get a glimpse into the student experience," explained Dean John Culbert. "Everyone who attends this event is directly supporting our students. It's important for our guests to interact with them and see, firsthand, the direct impact of giving to student scholarships."

The co-chairs for the 2017 Theatre School Gala include Joseph M. Antunovich (President, Antunovich Associates); Sondra A. Healy (Chairman, Turtle Wax Inc.); Brian Montgomery (Vice President, Employee and Labor Relations, Exelon); and Honorary Co-Chair and alumnus John C. Reilly. Sponsors include Antunovich Associates and Exelon.

Single tickets can be purchased for $550. For more information and pricing for groups of tickets, please contact DePaul University's Donor Relations Department: (312) 362-8455 or eventRSVP@depaul.edu.
