Jersey Boys Tour Begins in Chicago on October 6

Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, premieres in Chicago at the LaSalle Bank Theatre (18 W. Monroe) October 6, 2007 through April 13, 2008.  Due to popular demand, the show has already added an additional 14 weeks of performances prior to opening, extending its Chicago engagement to six months.

The musical will star Drew Gehling as Bob Gaudio, Chicagoan Michael Ingersoll as Nick Massi, Jeremy Kushnier as Tommy DeVito and Jarrod Spector as Frankie Valli.

The ensemble includes Lyndsey Cole, John Michael Coppola, John Michael Dias, Mike Erickson, Steven M. Goldsmith, John Hickman, Lauren Marshall, Wade McCollum, Rashad Naylor, Jenny Lee Ramos, Jake Speck, Kara Tremel, Ryan Quinn West with Eddie Driscoll and Craig Laurie.

Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, Jersey Boys won four 2006 Tony Awards including Best Musical and continues to break box office records at the August Wilson Theatre since opening in November 2005.  The show is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

Jersey Boys will be presented in Chicago by Broadway In Chicago and TheatreDreams.  The musical is part of the 2007 Walgreens Broadway In Chicago Season Series and TheatreDreams subscription.   

Jersey Boys is "the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi.  This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time.  They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty," state press notes. 

The design and production team comprises Klara Zieglerova (Scenic Design), Jess Goldstein (Costume Design), Howell Binkley (winner of the 2006 Tony® Award for his Lighting Design of Jersey Boys), Steve Canyon Kennedy (Sound Design), Michael Clark (Projections Design), Charles LaPointe (Wig and Hair Design), Steve Orich (Orchestrations) and Ron Melrose (Music Direction, Vocal Arrangements & Incidental Music).

The show is produced by Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group, in association with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner.

The musical will premiere in Chicago at the LaSalle Bank Theatre (18 W. Monroe), October 6, 2007 through April 13, 2008.  The performance schedule is as follows:  Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m.  There WILL be a 7:30 p.m. performance on Sunday, October 7, Sunday, October 21, Sunday, December 30 and Sunday, February 10; and a 6:30 p.m. performance on Sunday, October 14.  There will NOT be a 2 p.m. performance on Wednesday, October 10, Sunday, October 14 or Wednesday, February 6.  There will NOT be a 7:30 p.m. performance on Tuesday, December 25.
