Just in time for Valentine's Day, Jedlicka Performing Arts Center presents LOVE STORY, the musical inspired by Erich Segal's best-selling novel and one of the most romantic films of all time - with book and lyrics by Stephen Clark, music and additional lyrics by Howard Goodall, directed by JPAC Managing Director Melanie Lamoureux and musical direction by John Warren. LOVE STORY, the musical will play tonight, February 14 - March 1, 2014 at the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center, 3801 S. Central Ave. in Cicero.

About the Director: Melanie Lamoureux serves as Managing Director of the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center. She holds a Bachelors of Music Education (Voice) from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Music (Musical Theatre) from the Boston Conservatory. She is the Founding Artistic Director of BAMtheatre, a youth educational theatre program that involves over 200 youth every summer. Through BAM, Melanie has directed over 20 productions including Violet, Nine, Chicago, and others. At the Boston Conservatory, Melanie established the Young Audiences program and directed How Can You Run With A Shell On Your Back? by Chicago natives Alan Schmuckler and Michael Mahler. For her graduating thesis project, Melanie wrote, directed and performed in an original musical based on the Jeannette Walls' memoir The Glass Castle. Melanie is also on the faculty of Fenwick High School, directing the Honors Choral and Theatre programs.
