The Chicago production of JERSEY BOYS, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning hit musical, celebrated its one millionth patron last week. The lucky person was Carol Miller from Orland Park, IL, who found out at the end of the matinee performance on June 3 when the cast announced her name and asked her to join them on stage. The Chicago Company of JERSEY BOYS joins a very select group of shows in Chicago to welcome over one million patrons, as it continues to wow audiences in an open run at the Bank of America Theatre.
Carol Miller was treated to spectacular prizes, including a private meeting with the cast of JERSEY BOYS and show memorabilia including an autographed poster and Playbill. She will also get to experience JERSEY BOYS once again in style with four premium tickets to a weekend performance including V.I.P. suite service, two overnight stays at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago and dinner for four at Ristorante We.
Presented by Broadway In Chicago and TheatreDreams, the blockbuster hit JERSEY BOYS is now in its second smash year in Chicago. JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, premiered in Chicago on October 5, 2007 and became a resident production on February 27, 2008. JERSEY BOYS tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.
Directed by two-time Tony Award® - winner Des McAnuff, JERSEY BOYS won both the 2006 Tony Award® for Best Musical and the 2006 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Recording, and most recently, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and continues to break box office records on Broadway and in Chicago. JERSEY BOYS is written by Academy Award® - winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.
JERSEY BOYS is produced by Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner.
