Idle Muse presents The Monument, by Colleen Wagner.
Caught up in the political interests of a war he never understood, a young soldier stands convicted of war crimes. Stetko obeyed his superiors only to find that, at the conclusion of the war, he is personally responsible for crimes "everyone was doing." Now his only chance for survival is an enigmatic woman from the enemy side with an agenda he doesn’t understand.
Featuring Idle Muse Ensemble Member Brian Bengtson and Babes with Blades Ensemble Member Amy Harmon, this profoundly affecting award-winning drama is a searing exploration of man's inhumanity in war time and the question of forgiveness. The Monument examines the paradox of the modern soldier, and the ambiguities of morality and justice.
