Theater in Motion: Theater for Teens will allow students to work in an ensemble. Students will rehearse a newly written fairy tale, written by Rutgers alumni and playwright, Lisa Huberman. Students will learn improvisational skills, character creation strategies and costume design from Kiea Houseton and guest speakers.
The Summer Academy’s session one runs June 26 -July 26 and session two runs July 31-August 16. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm-7pm and cost $295 per student. The classes will be held at Creative Studio Space, 2941 Belmont Ave Chicago, IL. Upon completion, students will perform a play for the public.
According to Founder, Kiea Houseton, “The Summer Academy will live up to our motto, ‘Theater in Motion’! We will work and play hard, while developing students as well-rounded individuals by exploring creativity and the world of theater.”
