Hell In A Handbag's Hosts Annual Benefit THE SOPHIA PETRILLO ITALIAN DINNER & TALENT SHOW ImageJoin Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia for Hell in a Handbag Productions' annual benefit, THE SOPHIA PETRILLO ITALIAN DINNER & TALENT SHOW on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 5 - 10 pm at Our Lady of Eternal Guilt aka Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1650 W. Foster Ave. in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. Tickets ($75 in advance) are currently available at www.handbagproductions.org (via Brown Paper Tickets) or by calling (800) 838-3006.

Picture it. December 2. Andersonville. It's the annual fundraiser for Sophia Petrillo's church, Our Lady of Eternal Guilt, and Dorothy, Rose and Blanche have been roped into helping coordinate the entertainment for the talent show. Rose (Ed Jones*) has even brought in her cousin Ingrid (A Red Orchid's Mierka Girten), 'the Barbra Streisand of St. Olaf' to sing, and Sophia (Adrian Hadlock*) convinces Dorothy (David Cerda*) to do a mother-daughter duet to outdo Sophia's arch-rival Sylvia Martinelli and her daughter, Bianca (A Red Orchid's Doug Vickers). We all know Blanche (Grant Drager*) is talented - but is it suitable for the stage? To add to the madness, Sophia's sister Angela (A Red Orchid's Natalie West) is visiting with big news.

The THE SOPHIA PETRILLO ITALIAN DINNER & TALENT SHOW features a full course Italian dinner, from Joey Chiapetta with desserts from Bubbie's (Nancy Lipschutz) kitchen and a talent show featuring the Golden Girls and their show regulars: Danne Taylor, Michael Rashid, Robert Williams, Chazie Bly and other Handbag ensemble members. The church social also includes games, raffles and a live auction with plenty of beer, wine and refreshments. All proceeds benefit Hell in a Handbag Productions, Chicago's leading camp and parody theater company.
