Happy Underground and Otherworld Theatre will co-produce Secret Origins an improvised superhero event directed by Justin Parlette. Performances are every Friday at 10:00 pm September 28, 2018 - October 26, 2018 in Otherworld's Bradbury space, 3914 N Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60613. Tickets to all shows are available now at Eventbrite.com. All tickets are pay-what-you-can with a suggested price of $10.

After sold-out performances in 2017 and festival appearances in New York and Chicago, Secret Origins returns! In Secret Origins, audiences create new and fantastic heroes and villains with the help of Chicago's improvisers, culminating in an epic showdown in the final week as the heroes created by the audiences of previous weeks return! Will our heroes team up to fight a cosmic threat, or destroy each other in combat? Hilarity and heroics collide with destiny in Secret Origins!

Secret Origins enjoyed sold out runs in 2017 at The Bughouse Theater, Second City 's Blackout Cabaret, Stage 773, and The Chicago Nerd Comedy Festival in Chicago and The Del Close Marathon in New York.

The cast features Alicia Felbab, Caitlin Robb, Drew McCalmon, Matt VanEpps, Mike Hover, Olivia Sieck, Sarah Carolyn Thomas, Thomas P Clune, and Wesley Whitaker.

" Superheroes inspire millions through comics, television, and feature films. Who hasn't scribbled their own Titan to life in the margins of their class or meeting notes or asked ourselves, 'if you had one superpower, what would it be?' The act of creation fires the imagination, nurtures the soul, and allows us to escape our morning commute or just relive what it feels like to crack the spine of a fresh comic and ponder the impossible in four brilliant colors," said director Justin Parlette. Parlete directs and produces the current production of Secret Origins. Parlette was in the ensemble during the show's 2017 run with Ross W. Berman IV directing. Mike Hover Serves as the show's co-producer in addition to being in the ensemble.

Performances will take place at Otherworld Theatre, 3914 N Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60613 in the larger mainstage, nicknamed, "The Bradbury," a reference to Science Fiction author Ray Bradbury September 28 - October 26, 2018; Fridays at 10:00pm. Superhero cosplay is encouraged. All tickets are pay-what-you-can. Otherworld maintains a mission to keep theatre accessible for all; allowing people of any and all means to experience live performance.
