Greenville College Choir Concert Held at The Sheldon Concert Hall 3/7

The 48-voice Greenville College Choir and 20-voice Chamber Singers will perform at The Sheldon Concert Hall (3648 Washington Boulevard, St. Louis, MO) on Sunday, March 7 at 3:00 p.m. This year's tour program, entitled "Kingdom Come," features diverse selections from South Africa, Germany, England, France, and America, composed over a period of 400 years.

Founded in 1927, the Greenville College Choir has attained a widespread reputation for performing sacred choral music of the highest quality. Recent appearances include a performance with the Boston Camerata and the Cathedral and Archdiocesan Choirs at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis in November, 2009. In 2008 the Greenville Choir performed at the American Choral Directors Association Central Division Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan and went on a concert tour of Hungary, Romania, and Austria. Later this spring the Choir will tour in the Mid-Atlantic United States. Dr. Jeffrey Wilson, Director of Choral Studies at Greenville College, is the conductor of both the Choir and the Chamber Singers.

Greenville College is a four-year accredited Christian liberal arts school with more than 1,200 traditional undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree completion students. Founded in 1892 and affiliated with the Free Methodist Church, the college is located in Greenville, Ill., 45 miles east of St. Louis.

Tickets for the March 7 concert are $6 for Adults and $5 for Students / Senior Citizens.
