Roederer is one of the leading 'boutique' Champagne houses in the world. Originally founded under a different name in the late 18th century, Louis Roederer joined the firm in 1827. Initially, Roederer's biggest customers were Russians and Americans but, due to prohibition and the 1917 Russian revolution, they lost 80% of their market overnight. Today Roederer is more popular than ever and most famous for their celebrated Cristal, which recently became chic with the likes of athletes and the hip-hop crowd. However, its first celebrity advocate was Tsar Alexander II, who demanded his wine be in clear glass bottles without a punt for security reasons: Cristal comes in similar clear, puntless bottles to this day.

Indulge in one the world's most exclusive Champagne houses at Geja's Café by attending Toasting Tuesdays. Every Tuesday in December through February, guests will receive 31% off any Roederer product in celebration of Geja's 31st annual Champagne Tasting and Festival.

Known for romantic fondue dining-food one prepares and shares-and an extensive list of fine, moderately priced wines, Geja's features over 20 different types of fondue entrees as well as cheese fondue and chocolate dessert fondue. An enchanting wine cellar atmosphere, private booths, and subdued lighting contribute to its intimate surrounding. Live flamenco and classical guitarists serenade diners on weekends.

Hours for Geja's Café are Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday, 5 p.m. to 11:00, Saturday, 5 p.m. to 11:30; Sunday, 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Valet parking is available. For reservations or further information about the Champagne Festival, please call 773-281-9101.
