GayCo Productions, Chicago's venerable LGBTQ sketch theater company, is celebrating its 19th year with the return of its popular Fives of March fundraiser.

To help fund it's 2015 calendar, which includes an improv series during Pride Month and multiple touring shows and an all-new blockbuster sketch revue this fall at the Playground Theater, GayCo is asking fans and friends alike to "give them five." Dollars, that is.

Five dollars, $15, $105, $1,000,005...any amount that ends in five, with an overall goal of $5,000.

Funds will also go to support GayCo's 20th Anniversary celebration in 2016. Supporters can access their fundraising page through their website www.gayco.com.

GayCo is a 501c(3) organization that generates original sketch, improv and digital content where gay is always the given, never the punchline. Founded as part of The Second City's outreach arm in 1996, GayCo has performed across America and around the world, something it intends to do for another 20 years.

"Being an entirely non-profit theater group gives us wonderful freedom to create unique content and engage our audience on many levels, but also presents a unique challenge in terms of funding all the great shows we intend to do," says ensemble member John Loos. "And any gay knows that wigs and glitter dildos aren't cheap. Neither is insurance or theater rental fees, or any of the costs associated with producing new revues. The money made from the Fives of March goes directly to fund all of this, from lipstick to liability insurance."

GayCo is capping off their fundraising month with a massive March Madness party on Saturday March 28 at the Waterhouse (3407 N. Paulina, Chicago) from 8pm to 11pm. With the purchase of a $25 wristband, partygoers get three full hours of free cocktails, including beer, wine, well cocktails and sangria, as well as enjoy the excitement of March Madness on the literal thousands of giant TVs in the bar.

Also at the party, GayCo will be raffling off tickets, swag and many more valuable prizes.
