GayCo Productions Announces Pride Month Lineup

In a galaxy not so far, far away, GayCo Productions, Chicago's premier LGBTQ sketch comedy company, returns this June with its annual Pride Month series of improv and storytelling shows entitled STAR WHORES - THE PRIDE AWAKENS.

To honor of the season of Pride, GayCo Productions is remounting its sell-out series of comedy shows at The Playground Theatre (3209 N. Halsted St). The blasted natives of Boystown will come clad in their best Target brand button-ups for 2 nights of some ball and bra busting fun.

STAR WHORES - THE PRIDE AWAKENS is an outrageously gay improv adventure that'll have everyone claiming to be Luke's Daddy (bear). Celebrating those who get paid for "making wookie," each evening will be based on the monologues of special guest LGBT sex workers. Check out www.gayco.com for the schedule of Whores.

STAR WHORES - THE PRIDE AWAKENS runs Friday and Saturday at 10:30pm, June 24 and 25 at The Playground Theater in the heart of Boystown. Tickets are $15 and can be bought in advance at http://starwhorespride.eventbrite.com.

STAR WHORES - THE PRIDE AWAKENS will feature GayCo ensemble members and Artistic Associates, including Jessica Belless, Kathy Betts, Lanny Fox, Clay Goodpasture, Erin Island, Allison Reese, Alexandria Miller-Vanover, and some special All-Star Improvisers.

GayCo Productions is a homo-sensible, bi-larious LGBTQ theatre ensemble that was formed out of the famed Second City in 1996. For 20 years, it has produced thought-provoking and irreverent sketch comedy revues where gay is always the given and never the punchline.
