Fox Valley Repertory opens their 2015 theater series with Douglas J. Cohen's musical game of cat and mouse, No Way To Treat a Lady. Based on the novel and movie by William Goldman (The Princess Bride, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), the award-winning musical is directed by John Gawlik with music direction by Jeffrey Poindexter and choreography by Christie Kerr. Performances will take place at the Pheasant Run Resort Mainstage January 15 - March 8, 2015 (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; box office 630-584-6342).

No Way To Treat a Lady plays its final preview tonight, January 23, 2015. The show will open this Saturday evening, January 24, 2015 and continue through Sunday, March 8, 2015. Tickets are priced at $32 on Fridays (and limited Thursday performances), and at $42 on Saturdays and Sundays. Dinner packages, group discounts and overnight rates are also available.

Patrons will be on the edge of their seats as Detective Morris Brommell chases a murderous master of disguises through New York City, unraveling a complex tale involving befuddled detectives, meddling mothers, and glamorous socialites. Can he find the killer, get the girl, and appease his disappointed mother all before the next chorus? It's a captivating game of cat and mouse -- a tour de force with 4 actors playing 17 roles.

Based on William Goldman's best-selling novel that became an Academy Award-winning movie, No Way to Treat a Lady received its successful off-Broadway World Premiere in 1987 at Hudson Guild Theatre. It received an off-Broadway revival in 1996 at the York Theatre Company and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award and two Outer Critics Circle Awards (Best Revival and Best Featured Actress). The book, music and lyrics are by Douglas J. Cohen.

"Each year we look at several different scripts to consider as part of our season. We like to explore newer works that haven't been produced yet in the Fox Valley area, and this show fits the bill perfectly," says Director and Fox Valley Rep Artistic Director John Gawlik. "It's a funny, musical comedy thriller set in the gritty New York City of 1970. The score is terrific, and with just four actors playing multiple roles, it's a real treat to watch."

The cast of No Way To Treat a Lady features: Kellie Cundiff (previously in Fox Valley Rep's Sisters of Swing), Christopher Davis, Carol Rose (previously in Sisters of Swing and Why Do Fools Fall in Love?), and Ryan Naimy (previously in Christmas on Broadway and Forever Plaid).

No Way To Treat a Lady runs Thursday, January 15, 2015 through Sunday, March 8, 2015. Show times are: Fridays & Saturdays @ 8pm, and Sundays @ 2pm. Special Thursday performances are January 15 & 22 @ 8pm, and January 29, and February 12 & 19, and March 5 @ 2pm. The show is rated PG13.

The rest of Fox Valley Repertory's 2015 Theater Series includes the comedy of two cops, three crooks & eight doors, Unnecessary Farce (March 26 - May 24, 2015), the 1960's musical revue, The Bikinis (June 11 - August 16, 2015), the romantic comedy, Maybe Baby It's You (August 27 - October 25, 2015), and the holiday musical revue, A Christmas Survival Guide (November 5 - December 27, 2015). Season subscriptions start at $80 for five show-only tickets (discounted dinner-show subscriptions also available) and are currently available by calling the Box Office at 630-584-6342.

Pheasant Run Resort is located at 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL. For tickets and additional information, call the Pheasant Run Box Office at 630-584-6342, or visit www.foxvalleyrep.org.
