Forever Plaid will begin again at the Drury Lane Theatre October 5, followed by an official press opening October 12, and run through December 17.
The musical revue will be directed by long-time "Plaidster" Paul Pement, who starred in the long-running Royal George Theater production, as well as
Plaid Tidings at the Drury Lane Water Tower Place.
Forever Plaid is, "The story of the four nerdy young men whose dreams of musical glory come true when they miraculously return to earth to perform the concert of their dreams. In 1964, the endearing group's lives were suddenly ended while on their way to pick up their custom-made plaid tuxedos for their first big gig."
The hilarious and nostalgic hit musical comedy blends '50s and '60s rock and roll, popular TV tunes, a tribute to
The Ed Sullivan Show and choreography. The Plaids perform some of the greatest hits of the era, including "Catch a Falling Star," "Three Coins in the Fountain," "Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing" and "Magic Moments."
The show stars Dan Guller as Smudge, Jason Bayle as Sparky, Thad Avery as Frankie, and Steve Wallem as Jinx.
