First Folio Theatre (Mayslake Peabody Estate, 31st St. & Rt. 83) will present the international hit play LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, previewing March 24, opening Saturday, March 28 at 8 p.m. and running through April 25, 2015. The poignant comedy, based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, is written by Nora Ephron (When Harry Met Sally... and Sleepless in Seattle) and her sister, Delia Ephron, her co-collaborator on the successful films You've Got Mail and Hanging Up. Directed by First Folio Theatre Artistic Associate Rachel Lambert, LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE stars Lydia Berger (The Merry Wives of Windsor and Jeeves Takes a Bow at First Folio Theatre), Barbara Figgins (Hedda Gabler at Writers Theatre and Jeff Award winner for The History Boys a TimeLine Theatre Co.), Melanie Keller (Salvage, The Merchant of Venice, Twelfth Night at First Folio Theatre), and Hayley L. Rice (Laughter on the 23rd Floor and The Rainmaker at First Folio Theatre).

LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE was the 2010 Drama Desk Award winner for Unique Theatrical Experience and the 2010 Broadway.com Audience Award winner for Favorite New Off-Broadway Play. The play has been hailed as "Funny, compelling...Brought down the house!" (The New York Times); "Witty and wise!" (Vanity Fair); "Funny, powerful, sweet and saucy! Goes directly to the heart, soul and vanity of every woman, young and old!" (Variety); "Irresistible!" (The Los Angeles Times); and "Charismatic and beautifully observed! (The Huffington Post).

LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE reflects on the lives of five women and the vivid memories that their clothing conjures. From Brownie uniforms to first bras to prom dresses to that iconic little black dress, women have both beautiful and heart-wrenching stories that are attached to certain articles in their wardrobe. LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE explores those breathtaking moments and is sure to resonate with women of all ages who will identify with the wry observations throughout the heartfelt play.

Lighting Design is by Kevin Allinder, Scenic Design is by Joanna Iwanicka, Sound Design is by First Folio Theatre Artistic Associate Christopher Kriz, and Costume Design is by Lambert.

First Folio Theatre is in its 19th season of bringing high-quality performances of Shakespeare and other classics to the stage. During that time, the theater has expanded from an annual summer production to a year-round operation with three separate and distinct stages at the historic Mayslake Peabody Estate. Following LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, First Folio Theatre will conclude its season with a Shakespeare Under the Stars production, THE WINTER'S TALE, which previews July 8, opens July 11, and runs through August 9.

LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE previews March 24, opens March 28 and runs through April 25, 2015. Performances are Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Thursdays and Sundays at 3 p.m. There is an 8 p.m. performance on Thursday, March 26 and there are 4 p.m. performances on Saturday, April 18 and Saturday, April 25. All performances take place at the Mayslake Peabody Estate, located at 1717 W 31st St., off Rt. 83, in Oak Brook. First Folio is easy to get to from via the East-West Tollway (I-88) or the Stevenson Expressway (I-55). Free parking is available on the grounds. Preview tickets are $22. Regular priced tickets are $29 Wednesdays and Thursdays (seniors and students are $25), and $39 on Fridays through Sundays (seniors and students are $35).
