The EverGreen Theatre Ensemble, an engagement theater company based in Naperville, will present the poignant, love after war story, "Time Stands Still" by Donald Margulies, Feb. 20-21, 27-28 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. in the Spotlight Room at Center Stage Theater, 1665 Quincy Ave. Suite 143 in Naperville.

The ensemble cast features local actors Tracey Powers from Geneva, Jeff Jones from North Aurora, Geoffrey Rommel and Genevieve Rose from Wheaton.

"Time Stands Still" focuses on Sarah and James, a photojournalist and a foreign correspondent trying to find happiness as they return to their pre-war existence. Struggling with physical and emotional scars, the couple considers the life before them and their ability to move on together after all they've seen. The play, penned by Pulitzer-prize winning author Donald Margulies, was nominated for two Tony awards. The New York Times hailed the playwright saying "his dialogue throughout "Time Stands Still" crackles with bright wit and intelligence.." .

"As an engagement theatre group we like to challenge the audience to consider different issues," said Craig Berger, Director of the show. "This production asks the question, "Can you really witness the horrors of war as a bystander and still retain your sense of right and wrong, not to mention your sanity?"

General admission tickets for "Time Stands Still" are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. To purchase tickets online, visit evergreentheatreensemble.org or call 630.697-3790.
